I like SISTAR. I really like them, but I think Hyorin is getting overrated.
I feel like she screams more than sing. Occasionally, she sings, but once she hits the high notes, she begins to scream her heart out(note how i say scream instead of sing). I wish people would stop saying she is a great singer, when in fact, she cannot sing as well as, let’s say, Jea. I am so tired of people always telling me how great of a singer hyorin is when there are a lot better singers than she is.

Taeyeon, Bom, IU, Sunye, Hyorin, Soyeon, Fei, Jea, DaVichi, and a lot more.
Like yes they’re talented singers but they’re so overrated. Like Seohyun has a voice that I think could rival Taeyeon if only given the chance. Same for Minzy, she’s so underrated. I personally think Ye Eun is a better singer than Sunye. Also DaVichi and IU are overrated in general. Like okay, we get it they can sing. As for Jea, she’s really not impressive and I don’t get people are impressed with her and BEG. Same for Fei with Miss A. Soyeon just sounds dead. Nice voice but no emotion. As for Hyorin, she’s probably the queen of overratedness.
Like I don’t hate these singers. I like them but they need to step aside and let other talented voices shine. Like have you guys heard Ailee? She’s amazing. She should be debuting in American Pop, not K-Pop.

As much as I like Sistar’s Hyorin, she is easily one of the most overrated singers in Kpop.
I’ve heard many say she’s the best singer, “even better than Bom and Taeyeon.” She is a good singer, but she is not THAT good.
Bom could easily match Hyorin’s vocals. Hell, even Minzy could go against Hyorin in a sing-off. As for Taeyeon, she has more skill than Hyorin. Taeyeon can high notes with ease, whereas Hyorin practically screams her high notes.
SB: I would get SO much hate from Hyorin stans.
Why do people say she’s ugly? I think Hyorin is pretty and a great singer. Sure she may not be as sexy as Bora or as cute as Dasom but she’s still pretty.
s!b: I don’t even like Sistar
I love sistar’s Hyorin and feel that she can sing very well. However, it seems like since she has been named ‘Korea’s Beyonce’ by the Korean media… her stans have been been comparing her to everyone and bringing her up everytime someone sings. It has become especially bad since trainee Ailee was named a dream high cast member.
I noticed this especially when I watched Ailee’s cover of Beyonce’s Halo on youtube… there were SO many comments of Hyorin sings better because she’s Korea’s Beyonce or they should duet because Hyorin is awesome. Hyorin is lovely and she sings so well, but in all honesty, Ailee’s vocals+range+technique would blow Hyorin’s out of the water, especially since judging by the way Ailee sings (her drastic improvement from her youtube covers) I am under the impression that Ailee has been trained a little in Opera.
This also happens quite often with idol singer tomtom who trains IU is the closest thing Korea will probably ever have to a Beyonce (only tone wise, idk why koreans praise the hell out of this woman although beyonce I love you) and is one of the most talented idols to embrace Korea. Taeyeon, Ye Eun, Sunye, Eunji, Jooyi, the list goes on. I think that rather than attaching labels, I feel it’s best to just appreciate their voices and let the talent speak for itself. I say this because Hyorin and all of the singers she is compared to are great in their own right and deserve to let their let talent speak for itself and not have the unjustification of constantly being compared to others simply because the fans are out to prove something, especially if in some cases it means overrating or underrating someone’s talent to prove a point or make your bias look better.
s!b: I’m a hyorin stan but let’s be honest here, some of her fans really do think the sun shines through this girl’s ass and don’t want to hear this:/
^It’s like this with many idol talents but lately it seems like the hardcore Hyorin stans are taking it to another level imo.
I remember reading a story on hte internet about these three…They were suppose to debut together as a trio under JYP, but then something happened which I forget xD This is old, but I think these three would have been great together, maybe even better than the group they are now!..They do have a lot of success with the group they are with now, but I can’t help but to think they would be one of the best trios if they have debuted together… Just a thought
S!B: I’m a big fan of Miss A, Secret, and Sistar and I feel like breaking them apart so that these three could be together, but its the past so its all good! They’re awesome right now!
